LWVH is a not-for-profit corporation under section 501 (c) (4) of the Internal Revenue Code, committed to the active and informed participation of individuals in government and governmental institutions.
We work to inform the electorate of races and issues facing them by the hosting of candidate forums, publication of voters’ guides and sponsorship of public forums on a range of public policy issues. It is nonpartisan, in that it does not support candidates; but it does advocate for legislation in accordance with its positions. Please note that gifts to the LWVH are not tax deductible.
